Lake White State Park

Scenic Lake White was formed in 1938 filling overnight much to local residents surprise. It was named after the then Governor of Ohio with the help of Lt Gov.George Nye, a local resident. It is the only State Park in Ohio where the land under the Lake is privately owned and the water is owned by the State. Picturesque Lake White is located between the ridges of Southern Ohio's rugged hills at the edge of the Appalachian Mountains. Watersports enthusiasts can enjoy swimming, boating, water skiing and fishing at this scenic park with no limit on motor boat horsepower.
